Visit Fort Fincastle, the Queen’s Staircase and the impressive sights from the Water Tower. Drive past the Governor’s Mansion and see the impressive statue of Christopher Columbus. Travel to historic Bay Street and Rawson Square - the traditional center of the Bahamian Government. Here you will learn about picturesque pastel buildings, erected in the early 1800’s which include the House of Parliament, the old Colonial Secretary’s Office, and the Supreme Court. Time permitting, you will see or visit historic Fort Charlotte, built in 1788 complete with a moat, open battlements and dungeons.
